It’s Sunday? Man does it not feel like Sunday but also 100% like Sunday. Anyone else in the same boat today? I got up around 5:30 and felt “okay”. Not fully rested, not fully exhausted, somewhere in the middle of the two that I couldn’t really pinpoint. Accumulation of miles, training, and running left me with a cloudy vision of how I was feeling. Originally I had 10 miles easy on deck, but texted my coach to check in and he said to go 7-8 easy and just by feel. I left my house, and at 2.5 miles in I ALMOST turned around. I wasn’t suffering at all, I just couldn’t decide if I wanted to be running (???) but kept going knowing I’d feel better especially mentally if I did the 8. I did my favorite 8 mile route to make it that much better. Avgerage pace was 8:40 which is slow for me, given it was 60 degrees and overcast too. I came home, showered, made a MASSIVE bowl of protein oats and then worked at marathon sports the rest of the day! Again, I seriously don’t know how the days go by so fast working there so far. It wasn’t too busy, but I worked with all the college and high school boys today, and the manager Matt. Super chill vibes all around, and I don’t feel like I have to try and fit in in the environment. I can just do me and it works, I’ve never worked somewhere where I’ve felt that way!

I’m a little tired and out of it tonight , but know this is the LAST big week of training! So close to the taper, and I know my body will appreciate that. Anyone have any fun Memorial Day plans? I think my grandparents are having a family cook out tomorrow (I think???) so I’ll go over there tomorrow afternoon.

I also got the BPN KANE footwear collab and WOW are these some pretty cool shoes!

My plans for tonight are to sauna for 30:00, take a NICE long shower, and read more of the second book in “the court of thorns and roses” series….the second one is SO GOOD so far!

Leave your book Recommendations below too!!!
