Happy Saturday!!! I woke up to this beautiful sunrise and feeling so much better than I did yesterday after a good night of sleep. I actually felt ready to run again, and had only a 10 mile run, which I did alternating between at 7:30-7:45 pace and a 7:00-7:15 pace. I decided to go out and see how I felt. If I felt bad, I’d take it all easy. I was pleasantly surprised that I felt good. Those paces are slower than my marathon pace, but given how much I’ve run this week milage wise, it was still enough to turn my legs over a bit faster than the 8:30-9:00 easy pace I have been running at. Does anyone else feel like runs go by so much faster when there is some variation in there? My quickest and probably best run all week. I was happy to be feeling good, be outside, and get moving! Right after my run I hoped on the Peloton and did a 30:00 easy ride. I always put the scenic rides on, so today I did the 30:00 Hawaii one. I don’t like listening to music most of the time, but the look around a new place with the scenic ride offers some good “views” of different places. I’d love to actually go to Hawaii and run or bike where it took me through today! The ride went by fast, and BOY did my legs feel so fresh after that!
I worked at marathon sports today and I had SUCH a good day. It helps I’m passionate about running and activity, but also that I love helping other people. I feel like I don’t get to make an impact that much, but helping people simple get the right pair of shoes, gels, clothes, ect puts a smile on my face. I actually enjoyed interacting with people and the day FLEW by! I couldn’t believe how fast the day went. My manager is also an ultra marathon runner, and SUPER chill, so the environment is so low key and easy going which I love. It creates an environment for me that I do NOT feel stressed in at all! I get to work again tomorrow, and only have a 10 mile easy run. After today, I’m excited for the rest of the weekend and next week being the last peak week of training! I can’t BELIEVE I’ll be in Texas in less than 3 weeks! AHHHH!
What do you have going on this weekend? Are you an early morning runner or afternoon/evening runner?
Also brought my Stanley to work today, I forgot how cold it keeps my water!
