Wow what a weekend. Ran the CellCom Green Bay marathon today and finished in 3:21:55! I used it as my long run for the week so just a “casual” pace and ended up averaging a 7:42 minute per mile pace. I honestly felt great pretty much the whole time, until about mile 22 but took an extra gel (6 for the day, plus a handheld with a scoop of BPN G1M and electrolytes!) and they had a good burst at the end, my last mile was 6:30’s!

The day started at 5am, I had a banana, G1M and electrolytes, a fuel for fire, and a BPN Gobar. The race started at 7am, the sun was out, and it only got to around 70 degrees so never SUPER hot (although I did get a sunburn!) I wore a hat, which I never do, but think I’m in a hat girl era now (???) anyway, I met some really cool people, lots of fellow BPN runners (GO ONE MORE) and again felt strong and just so happy to be able to do this sport. So much love for this body of mine. Its freeing almost🤍 I CHUGGED a corepower shake after , had a barebells protein bar, banana, and some oatmeal. Had time for a quick shower, now at the airport headed home! This weekend taught me a handful of things….

  1. Friends are SO important.

  2. Don’t compare yourself to others. You do YOU. Everyone is different physically and mentally therefore require different things! Do what’s best for you, even if you get caught up comparing yourself to toehers, remeber you are strong and know what YOU need.

  3. Running is a gift. I am SO thankful to just be able to go out and run a MARATHON, qualify for Boston at a “casual” pace, and have a body allowing me to do this sport I love with my whole heart🫶🏼

Thank you to the Gruesen family for their amazing hospitality and Anna for being a great friend💚🏃🏼‍♀️🥰
