Happy Wednesday! It’s one of those weeks where I feel like “it’s only Wednesday” but “it’s already Wednesday.” With out school work this week and not working, I have been able to focus more on recovery for training BUT also have had a LOT more screen time (anyone else feel guilty for this?) and I’m bored when I’m not busy! I have been able to relax and get into the book “a court of thorns and roses” by Sarah Maas which is so good so far!
I got up this morning and had a 13.5 mile speed workout. I’m not hitting paces as fast as I was in marathon training, because ultra training is a lot more mileage and less emphasis on speed. Overall I felt so much better than I expected and it went by fast. I also tried cliff salted watermelon blocks. I’m not usually a salted watermelon gal but they were REALLY good! Also the green from all the trees blooming now is so therapeutic to me. I just love it.
Today I also hear back from Marathon Sports because I applied to work there for the summer, thinking it would be a good part time job, fingers crossed I get in! Besides that it’s raining here now, and I have a lift to get in later today. Also going to make a run to target to pick up a few things! Any fun Wednesday plans?
